Over the past few months, you may have noticed a decline in the speed of ILM. Due to increased popularity, the site was getting more traffic than our server was able to handle effectively. We have now switched to a new server, which should increase download and loading times. I will also be working on updating some of the graphics, etc, so if you come to ILM and find it "unfriendly" for a little bit, please forgive me, but I'm trying to make things a bit more organized around here. Thank you all for understanding!!! |

Does it ever amaze you how fast the year zooms by? Every year I go through this same issue...
August - 10 *long* months ahead of us - learning names and personalities
October - Cool, a quarter of the year is gone, but still a *long* way to go!
December - Brrr!! Will summer ever return?
March - EEEKKKKKK!!! State tests in 3 weeks, AP Exams in 5 weeks - where did all of that time go??
Every year I know this will happen, yet every year, I get to early April and look back and think "whoa" the year is almost over! Prom was this weekend. State exams are almost here. Hemlines creep up (on the students, not the teachers heheh). Summer plans are being made. And before we know it, the cycle will start all over again.
While it may sometimes seem that not much is happening here at ILM, please don't let it fool you if I don't get the welcome message changed. There is always something that doesn't get done on my to-do list, and often times it's the welcome message here. However, we are still getting some of the best lesson plans submitted from math teachers around the globe. One cool feature that I recently figured out (and have been using myself), is that I have been posting lessons on my blog. Then I come to ILM and put a link to that lesson so that more people will have access to it, yet it's easier to modify and update and gives me more flexibility in posting a description of the lesson.
Well, tis 9pm and I still have a test to write... have a great week!! |
